Precourt Healing Center

The Precourt Healing Center is a 28-bed inpatient behavioral health facility in the heart of Eagle County and the mountain region. This is more than just a building. The healing center is the first of its kind in a mountain community and will undoubtedly save lives. Whereas people in crisis currently have to wait for an available bed and then travel to Grand Junction or Denver for inpatient behavioral health care, the Precourt Healing Center will provide the trusted expertise, personalized approach, and superior quality care Vail Health has been known for delivering to residents and neighboring community members close to home since 1965.

The Precourt Healing Center opened on May 5, 2025. If you or a loved one are in crisis, please call 988, or call 970-306-HOPE if you live in Eagle County.

The Facility

At Vail Health, we have thoughtfully designed the Precourt Healing Center to be more than just a treatment facility — it is a space of restoration, dignity and personalized healing. Drawing from national best practices and informed by the lived experiences of patients, families, and clinicians, our mission is to provide one-of-a-kind behavioral health care that supports the whole person — body, mind, and spirit.

The Precourt Healing Center serves adolescents (ages 12–17) and adults (18+), offering care in both English and Spanish. We proudly serve Eagle County and surrounding regions, closing a long-standing care gap for rural Colorado.

Our integrated approach prioritizes both mental and physical health, recognizing the vital connection between the two. Patients enjoy healthy meals prepared in our as art, music, and movement therapy onsite scratch kitchen, physical activity in therapeutic gyms and outdoor courtyards, and expressive outlets such. Healing here is not just clinical — it’s holistic.

Family and community play a central role in treatment planning and recovery. We ensure that every patient is met with compassionate support tailored to their needs and the resources available in their lives.

Please note: All patients must be referred by an approved community agency or hospital emergency department. Walk-ins and self-referrals are not accepted.

If you or a loved one is experiencing a behavioral health crisis, please call Vail Health Behavioral Health’s Crisis Hotline at 970-306-4673.
