CO-PIC, CO-PIC Sites & Life in Colorado

The Colorado Psychology Internship Consortium (CO-PIC) offers a one-year, full-time doctoral internship beginning and ending in July each year. The Consortium is comprised of four sites across Colorado: two sites in Eagle County and two sites in the Denver Metro Area.

Program Admissions

Application Information

Candidates will interview with each site for which they have been offered an interview and will also have an opportunity to meet with the larger consortium training staff. Interviews for the 2026-2027 internship year will be held virtual in early/mid-January.

Format & Competencies

The Colorado Psychology Internship Consortium’s aim is to prepare and retain psychologists to provide high quality behavioral health care for Coloradans of all ages. Our training is based on the Practitioner-Scholar model. CO-PIC trains interns to practice as psychologists who are effective consumers of research and who utilize scholarly inquiry to inform their practice.

Accreditation Status

The Colorado Psychology Internship Consortium (CO-PIC) has been accredited by the Commission on Accreditation since November 10, 2016. On April 6, 2024, the Commission on Accreditation voted to reaffirm the accreditation of the Colorado Psychology Internship Consortium, with its next site visit scheduled to be held in 2033. Questions related to the program’s accreditation status should be directed to the Commission on Accreditation.
