What is Intensive Outpatient care?
Intensive Outpatient Care (IOP) is a structured treatment program designed for individuals who need more support than traditional weekly therapy but do not require 24-hour inpatient care. It provides a higher level of care while allowing you to continue living at home, maintaining work or school responsibilities, and staying connected to your support system.
At Vail Health Behavioral Health, our Intensive Outpatient Program combines evidence-based therapies, education and group support to help individuals manage mental health conditions, substance use disorders, or both. Participants meet several times each week in a supportive, therapeutic environment led by experienced behavioral health professionals.
Whether you’re transitioning from a higher level of care or looking for additional support during a difficult time, IOP can help you build healthy coping skills, strengthen resilience and create a foundation for long-term recovery.
